Установка проигрывателя Audacious...

Скачал с сайта Audacious архив gz с исходниками.

Распаковал архив, запускаю ./configure (да, кстати, а почему именно ./configure, а не просто configure ?), и выдается такое сообщение:



checking build system type...

Invalid configuration ' i686-pc-Linux-' : machine ' i686-pc-Linux ' not recognized

configure: error: /bin/sh ./config.sub i686-pc-Linux- failed



Как расценивать это сообщение ?
